  • Held at the 2025 ESPN Global Cheerleading Invitational in Orlando, Florida, this performance by the Spartan cheerleaders wasn’t just a victory—it was a revolution in motion. Competing against powerhouse squads from nations including Japan, Canada, South Korea, Brazil, and the United Kingdom, the Spartans delivered a dazzling, acrobatic display that didn’t just score a perfect 100—it rewrote the limits of what cheerleading is capable of.
  • For Kaleb Glenn: the journey has shifted, but a medical redshirt will protect his eligibility while he rehabs toward a robust return. For MSU: deficit becomes opportunity—fresh faces get chances, veterans step up, and the path forward remains competitive. For Izzo: once again proving why he’s one of college basketball’s elite coaches—resilience in the face of adversity, and unwavering team-first mentality.
  • Draymond Green’s love for Michigan State runs deeper than accolades and banners. A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Green joined the Spartans in 2008 and played under legendary head coach Tom Izzo. During his four-year college career, he transformed from a slightly overlooked high school recruit into a national force, earning Big Ten Player of the Year honors and leading the Spartans to multiple Final Four appearances.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Lightning Strikes Twice: Jahiem White Leads a Revamped WVU Running Back Room into 2025

In just two seasons with the West Virginia Mountaineers, Jahiem White has emerged not only as a spark plug on offense but as one of the most electrifying tailbacks in the Big 12. Known for his game-breaking speed, lateral quickness, and rare vision, White amassed over 2,100 all-purpose yards and 18 total touchdowns across his freshman and sophomore campaigns. Now entering his junior season, White steps into the spotlight with greater expectations—and a fascinating group of newcomers behind him.

This year’s running back room has been retooled with both youth and upside. In part two of our annual WVU football position preview series, we take a closer look at how the Mountaineers plan to keep their ground game not just alive—but lethal.

Backing up White is 6’1″, 215-pound JUCO transfer Malik Tyson, a bruising back with deceptive burst who turned heads in spring camp. Tyson’s downhill style complements White’s outside finesse, making the duo potentially one of the most balanced backfield combos in the conference.

Freshman phenom Treyvon Griffin, out of Norfolk, Virginia, is another name to watch. Griffin, a four-star recruit with track speed and shifty hips, was clocked at 4.39 in the 40-yard dash during spring testing. Coaches have already whispered comparisons to a young Tavon Austin due to his versatility and explosiveness in open space.

Also in the mix is redshirt sophomore Keyshawn Boone, who quietly averaged 5.8 yards per carry in limited action last year. Boone, a patient runner with great vision, is expected to see increased reps in the new-look offense designed by coordinator Tyler Rees.

As the Mountaineers prepare for a challenging 2025 slate, their tailback room appears deeper and more dynamic than it’s been in recent memory. While the offense runs through Jahiem White, don’t be surprised if one of these newcomers carves out a breakout role of their own.

In Morgantown, the running back tradition continues—with a thunderstorm of talent ready to strike.
