In a powerful testament to a life devoted to service both on and off the field, Nebraska Cornhuskers Softball Head Coach Rhonda Revelle has been named College Softball’s 2025 Philanthropy Icon, a prestigious national honor recognizing her extraordinary humanitarian contributions and unwavering commitment to community upliftment.
A revered figure in collegiate softball for over three decades, Revelle’s influence extends far beyond the diamond. Through the Rhonda Revelle Family Foundation, she has become a beacon of hope, compassion, and meaningful change for countless individuals and families across Nebraska and beyond. Her foundation’s core mission—to empower underserved youth, support mental health awareness, and provide resources for women in sports—has touched lives in ways that statistics can’t fully capture.
“Coach Revelle has set the gold standard not only for coaching excellence but for what it means to give selflessly,” said NCAA Softball Chair Melanie Jacobs during the awards ceremony in Indianapolis. “Her vision, energy, and empathy have created opportunities where there were once obstacles.”
Under her leadership, the foundation has launched several groundbreaking initiatives. These include the “Diamond Dreams” scholarship program, which funds higher education for low-income female athletes, and a state-wide youth leadership summit focused on resilience, equity, and wellness.
