In his third year with the Aggies, Lamkin has demonstrated significant improvement, both statistically and mentally. He currently holds a 3-3 record with a 3.88 ERA over 67.1 innings pitched, a notable advancement from his previous seasons. Head coach Michael Earley emphasized this growth, stating, “You see how they get better pitching through traffic or pitching when maybe they give up some runs, or it doesn’t spiral out of control. For me, I’d kind of struggled with that last year and then my freshman year, obviously. I think, just having gone through the SEC gauntlet two times now—this being my third time now—I have a better understanding of what needs to be done” .
