While Tatum didn’t specify which film he had in mind, his post quickly sparked speculation among fans. Some suggested he might be eyeing a role in the next Space Jam installment, given his basketball roots. Others threw out possibilities like Black Panther, Fast & Furious, or even a return to Uncle Drew, where he previously made a brief appearance.
This wouldn’t be Tatum’s first time in front of the camera. Aside from his Uncle Drew cameo, he’s also been featured in commercials and sports documentaries. However, landing a role in a major Hollywood sequel would mark a new level of stardom for the Celtics forward.
NBA players crossing over into Hollywood isn’t anything new. LeBron James starred in Space Jam: A New Legacy, Kevin Garnett earned praise for his performance in Uncut Gems, and Shaquille O’Neal has had multiple movie roles, including Blue Chips and Kazaam.
