Ojo is set to make his highly anticipated return to Texas this weekend for Junior Day, marking a crucial moment in his recruitment.
Texas has been laser-focused on two elite in-state offensive tackles in the 2026 class—Ojo and five-star John Turntine III from Fort Worth (TX). Offensive line coach Kyle Flood, who has been a driving force behind the Longhorns’ recruitment efforts, has made a strong impression on Ojo. Texas was one of the first Power 5 programs to offer Ojo after his standout performance at the Texas Elite Camp last June, and their connection has only grown since.
The Longhorns’ track record of developing top-tier offensive linemen, combined with Flood’s personal investment in Ojo, has positioned Texas as a strong contender in this recruitment. Ojo recently told On3 that Texas has made it clear that he’s their “No. 1 priority” when it comes to linemen for the 2026 class.
“Texas has flat-out shown me that I’m their No. 1 priority for 2026 linemen,” Ojo shared. “They’re a top-five school for me, and I have high interest in them.”
While Ojo has also shown interest in schools like Oklahoma, SMU, and Ohio State, it’s clear that the Longhorns are making a powerful push to keep the 4-star lineman close to home. With strong ties already in place, Texas is poised to be a major player in Ojo’s recruitment as the 2026 class heats up.
