In an inspiring turn of events, the Oklahoma City Thunder have signed former Alabama standout Alex Reese to their 15-man roster.
After going undrafted in 2021, Reese took a break from basketball, bartending for a year before reigniting his career overseas with Amicale Steesel in Luxembourg. There, he shone brightly, averaging 23.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and impressive defensive stats.
Upon returning to the U.S., Reese joined the Portland Trail Blazers’ G-League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, where he continued to showcase his skills with averages of 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds over 43 games. His journey led him to the NBA Summer League, but he ultimately signed with the Thunder on September 27, only to be waived shortly after.
