🎟️ World Cup Quarter-Final Ticket Prices Crash After Ronaldo and USA Exit
The 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket market has taken a dramatic turn following the elimination of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and the United States. With two of the tournament’s biggest attractions no longer in contention, resale ticket prices for the quarter-finals have fallen sharply, giving fans a chance to attend matches at a fraction of the earlier cost.
The biggest drop has been for the Spain vs Belgium quarter-final at SoFi Stadium in California. The cheapest resale ticket, which had been selling for around $2,950, is now available for approximately $1,200—a decline of nearly 60% in just a few days.
The France vs Morocco quarter-final has become the most affordable of the last-eight ties, with get-in prices starting from just $989 on the secondary market. Meanwhile, industry data shows average resale prices for all quarter-final matches have dropped by 31.5% over the past two days and by more than 50% over the last three days.
The decline is largely driven by reduced demand after Portugal and the USA were knocked out, ending hopes of a blockbuster Portugal-USA showdown. The number of tickets listed on resale platforms has also surged from roughly 28,300 at the start of the tournament to nearly 49,500, further pushing prices downward.
While the ticket market has cooled, the race for the World Cup trophy remains wide open, with France, Spain, Belgium, England, Norway, Argentina, and Switzerland still chasing a place in the semi-finals.
