Liverpool’s £61m Move Rejected as Real Madrid Draw Firm Line on Eduardo Camavinga
Real Madrid have firmly shut down interest from the Premier League after rejecting a substantial bid for midfield star Eduardo Camavinga. Reports from Spain claim Liverpool made a €70 million (£61m) approach for the France international, but Los Blancos were quick to make their stance crystal clear: Camavinga is not for sale.
The 23-year-old has been a key part of Real Madrid’s success since joining from Rennes in 2021 for £34m. He has already racked up 196 appearances, winning two La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies, while also showcasing his versatility by excelling both in central midfield and at left-back.
Liverpool are said to be seeking more physicality and depth in midfield and have long admired Camavinga. However, according to Fichajes, Real Madrid instantly rejected the offer, adopting a “non-negotiable” position. The club believe entertaining bids for core players would weaken their long-term project and send the wrong message within the squad.
Camavinga, who is under contract until 2029, is viewed as a cornerstone of Real’s future and “a name destined to define an era” at the club. His commitment has never been in doubt, and Madrid remain determined to build around him.
