Yildiz Sets Two Key Conditions for Juventus Contract Extension Talks
Kenan Yildiz has made his demands clear as Juventus prepare to reopen talks over a contract extension, with the Turkish star seeking both a significant pay rise and strong guarantees about the club’s future ambitions.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Yildiz wants to become the highest-paid player at Juventus and receive firm assurances that the Bianconeri will pursue a competitive, trophy-challenging project in the coming years. Negotiations are expected to resume in the next few weeks, particularly with Juventus set to appoint a new head coach following Igor Tudor’s dismissal.
Although Yildiz’s current deal runs until June 2029, both the player and the club believe a new agreement is necessary given his rapid rise and growing importance in Turin. The last contact between the two parties reportedly came at the end of October, just before Tudor left his role.
Yildiz currently earns around €1.7 million per season, but his ambition is to reach a salary of at least €6 million annually, matching Jonathan David as the club’s top earner. Juventus, however, have so far proposed a deal worth €4–5 million per year, plus bonuses linked to individual and team performances.
The 20-year-old has justified his stance on the pitch, recording six goals and six assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season, further underlining his status as a cornerstone of Juventus’ future.
