Juventus Clause Kills Inter Milan’s Muharemovic Buzz – Pedullà Reveals the Truth
Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà has poured cold water on reports linking Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic with a move to Inter Milan, insisting the Nerazzurri have no concrete interest in the 22-year-old centre-back.
Speaking via FCInter1908, Pedullà clarified that despite growing speculation, Inter are not planning a move for Muharemovic, largely due to Juventus’ involvement in the player’s future. The Bianconeri reportedly hold a 50% sell-on clause, a factor that significantly complicates any potential transfer to their arch-rivals.
Inter’s focus in the January transfer window lies elsewhere. While defensive reinforcements are on the club’s long-term agenda, their immediate priority is signing a new wingback. The need has become more urgent following Luis Henrique’s underwhelming performances, leaving Denzel Dumfries without a reliable deputy.
That said, major changes are expected in Inter’s defense at the end of the season. Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Stefan de Vrij are all in the final year of their contracts, with De Vrij potentially departing even earlier. This situation will force Inter to invest in a new centre-back in the summer.
However, despite fitting the age profile, Muharemovic is not on Inter’s shortlist. According to Pedullà, the Juventus clause alone is enough to rule out any serious pursuit, effectively shutting down the rumors surrounding a move to San Siro.
