FC Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on Saturday evening, their tenth consecutive competitive match. Luis Díaz gave Bayern an early lead, and Harry Kane doubled the lead before the half-hour mark. Díaz sealed the victory in the closing stages.
Munich started with Manuel Neuer in goal and Sacha Boey, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, and Konrad Laimer in defense. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka formed the midfield with Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, and Díaz, and Kane up front. Aleksandar Pavlović replaced Goretzka at halftime, while Raphaël Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson, Tom Bischof, and Lennart Karl replaced Gnabry, Kane, Boey, and Díaz in the second half.

Bayern took the lead after just 15 seconds when Eintracht cleared a long ball only for Gnabry, who squared it to Díaz, who fired the ball home. Can Uzun shot over from distance, before Robin Koch, under pressure from Kane, almost scored an own goal, hitting the crossbar. Moments later, the ball found the back of the net again, but Kane’s goal was ruled out for offside. Jean-Matteo Bahoya shot past Neuer, but the goal was disallowed after a review for an earlier handball.
Díaz set up Kane, who fired into the bottom left corner from distance to make it 2-0. The Colombian shot just over, and Gnabry also missed before Neuer beat Bahoya with a long ball. Bayern went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Bayern created a number of chances after the restart. Gnabry shot wide, another deflected, before Kane hit the post. Gnabry and Kimmich were blocked, and Ritsu Doan shot wide at the other end as Bayern’s enthusiasm briefly waned.
Kane was brought down in the penalty area by Frankfurt goalkeeper Kauã Santos, but the assistant referee signaled. Guerreiro eventually passed to Díaz, who dodged Koch and sealed the final score with his brace.
With this result, Bayern leads the table with 18 points from six matches, four points ahead of Borussia Dortmund. On Sunday, the team will make its annual visit to Oktoberfest, before several FCB players are on duty with the national team during the international break. The Munich team will return to action on October 18, when they host Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
