It is being widely reported that Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich is now off, but it remains to be seen whether he will remain at Stamford Bridge.
If the 24-year-old still departs, Chelsea could end up signing a new striker. It has been claimed that Chelsea have already contacted Jorgen Strand Larsen of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chelsea have discussed signing Randal Kolo Muani
In June, it was reported that Chelsea were in talks to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.
In the end, nothing materialised, but the Frenchman is being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge once again following Liam Delap’s hamstring injury.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea have discussed bringing Kolo Muani to west London before the 7pm transfer deadline.
It is thought that the 26-year-old wants to join Juventus, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, but the Italian giants have not been able to agree a deal with PSG. It could present Chelsea with an opportunity to swoop in and sign the France international.
Randal Kolo Muani’s Juventus record respectable
Kolo Muani’s loan spell at Juventus was quite productive. In 16 Serie A appearances, the PSG man managed to score eight goals.
In total, Kolo Muani netted 10 times in 22 outings for Juventus, bagging a couple of goals at the Club World Cup along the way.
“A confident Randal is one of the best strikers in Europe,” Matteo Guendouzi said on Telefoot (via Le10 Sport) last year.
All in all, Kolo Muani is a good striker, but it would be a surprise if Chelsea were to bring in a high-profile name to cover for the injured Delap.
The Englishman is expected to be out for up to two months, which is a long time but not an entire season.
