The trio’s contribution will fully fund the construction of 150 transitional housing units and 300 shelter beds, aiming to provide both temporary relief and long-term stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness across Leon County and beyond.

In an emotional press conference held at Doak Campbell Stadium, quarterback DJ Uiagalelei explained the motive behind the life-changing decision:

Linebacker DJ Lundy added:

The first construction phase is already underway in Tallahassee’s Frenchtown District, with completion of the first 50 units expected by spring 2026.
