Galloway, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound defensive specialist, spent three seasons in College Station where he became known for his sharp game-calling, rocket arm, and quiet leadership. While he was never the flashiest bat in the Aggies’ lineup, his ability to manage pitching staffs and control the run game made him an invaluable piece of Texas A&M’s recent postseason pushes. Now, he’s bringing that same grit and knowledge to Corvallis.
“I chose Oregon State because it felt like home the moment I stepped on campus,” Galloway said in a statement. “The coaching staff believes in building a culture of excellence, and I want to be part of something special here.”
With All-Pac-12 catcher Hunter Nash declaring for the MLB Draft, Oregon State was in urgent need of a seasoned backstop to stabilize their young but talented rotation. Galloway is expected to provide immediate impact, both as a starter and as a mentor to underclassmen like redshirt freshman Tyler Carver and sophomore Luke Benetti.
