OKLAHOMA CITY — The 2025 Oklahoma Sooners may not have walked away with the national championship, but they left the field with something just as meaningful: a legacy etched in grit, unity, and heart.
Falling just short of their fifth consecutive NCAA title, the Sooners closed the season with a narrow loss in the Women’s College World Series finals. But for head coach Patty Gasso, the outcome did little to dim the brilliance of a team that showcased unwavering determination all season long.
“This team gave everything,” Gasso said, her voice steady with pride. “They’ve faced adversity, grown closer, and represented this program with integrity and passion. I couldn’t be more proud.”
