  • Held at the 2025 ESPN Global Cheerleading Invitational in Orlando, Florida, this performance by the Spartan cheerleaders wasn’t just a victory—it was a revolution in motion. Competing against powerhouse squads from nations including Japan, Canada, South Korea, Brazil, and the United Kingdom, the Spartans delivered a dazzling, acrobatic display that didn’t just score a perfect 100—it rewrote the limits of what cheerleading is capable of.
  • For Kaleb Glenn: the journey has shifted, but a medical redshirt will protect his eligibility while he rehabs toward a robust return. For MSU: deficit becomes opportunity—fresh faces get chances, veterans step up, and the path forward remains competitive. For Izzo: once again proving why he’s one of college basketball’s elite coaches—resilience in the face of adversity, and unwavering team-first mentality.
  • Draymond Green’s love for Michigan State runs deeper than accolades and banners. A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Green joined the Spartans in 2008 and played under legendary head coach Tom Izzo. Jace LaViolette’s Departure from the Texas A&M Aggies: A Reflection on Contributions, Challenges, and the Next Big Step

After three standout seasons in maroon and white, Jace LaViolette has officially bid farewell to the Texas A&M Aggies baseball program, setting his sights on the 2025 MLB Draft and a professional career in baseball. LaViolette’s departure marks the end of a pivotal era at Texas A&M, highlighted by powerful performances, deep community bonds, and resilience in adversity.

A Stellar Collegiate Career

LaViolette’s impact in Aggieland is undeniable. Over 188 career starts, he accumulated 194 hits, 68 homers, 202 RBIs, and maintained a .285 average. He also etched his name into Texas A&M history, finishing with a program record 68 career home runs and 169 walks.

Elite honors echoed his performance. In 2024, he earned First-Team All‑SEC, SEC All‑Defensive, and First‑Team All‑American distinctions from D1 Baseball and Baseball America. In 2025, he garnered Third‑Team All‑America nods from both Perfect Game and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

Contributions & Leadership

LaViolette was more than a slugger. His clutch moments—like the grand slam in the SEC Tournament against Mississippi State—energized the team during critical stretches. Overcoming a broken hand mid‑tournament, he returned just 24 hours post‑surgery and still delivered two RBIs against LSU; coach Michael Earley called it “one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen on a baseball field”. That same determined mindset had already helped him set a freshman record with 21 homers and 63 RBIs.

Challenges and the Team’s Struggles

While LaViolette thrived personally, the Aggies faced turbulence. A slow start in conference play and the midseason injury in the SEC Tournament led to a dip in performance; ultimately, the team failed to secure an NCAA regional berth, despite high pre‑season expectations. LaViolette’s numbers dipped a bit—18 homers, 56 RBIs, .258 average—but his fundamentals and leadership never wavered .

Emotional Farewell & Legacy

LaViolette’s goodbye on social media resonated deeply:

“What a ride it’s been… I’m forever grateful to call myself an Aggie. Gig ’Em forever.”

He spoke of the strong support from the program, coaches, and the legendary 12th Man, crediting Texas A&M for fostering a sense of family and helping him chase his dreams.

Looking Ahead: The MLB Future

Though not yet officially declared, LaViolette is expected to enter the 2025 MLB Draft later this summer, with MLB.com placing him around No. 15 overall. His blend of power, on-base skills, and defensive aptitude makes him a strong candidate for a top‑10 pick, and some projections suggest he could go even higher .

Final Thoughts

Jace LaViolette leaves College Station as one of Texas A&M’s all-time great hitters—his stats, accolades, and character firmly cemented. He weathered injuries, showcased resilience, and remained a powerful leader, even as the team around him faltered. As he transitions to the professional ranks, a community of fans, teammates, and coaches stand proud of all he achieved. With his talent and work ethic, a bright MLB career likely awaits.
