In a significant development for Oklahoma softball, Alynah Torres has been named the Associate Head Coach of the Sooners. This announcement marks a new chapter in Torres’ illustrious career, transitioning from a standout player to a pivotal coaching role.
Torres’ journey to this position is rooted in her exceptional performance on the field. A former All-Pac-12 shortstop at Arizona State, she transferred to Oklahoma in 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a powerful presence in the infield. During her tenure with the Sooners, Torres showcased remarkable versatility, playing across various positions including second base, first base, and right field.
