In a dazzling display of tradition, pageantry, and canine charisma, Texas A&M’s beloved mascot, Reveille—affectionately known as “Miss Rev” and the “First Lady of Aggieland”—has been crowned the World’s Best Mascot by ESPN. The honor follows a historic, record-breaking global mascot parade that mesmerized millions around the world and solidified Reveille’s status as not only a school icon but also an international sensation.
The event, dubbed the Global Mascot Summit & Parade, brought together over 150 mascots from universities, professional sports teams, and cultural organizations across six continents. Yet it was Reveille—an elegant Rough Collie draped in her signature maroon cape—who stole the show. From her dignified march through the streets of Tokyo to a regal appearance at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Reveille displayed grace, poise, and unmatched star power.
ESPN cited Reveille’s “unwavering poise, rich legacy, and universal appeal” in their announcement, noting that she embodies not only the spirit of Texas A&M but also the timeless bond between mascots and fans. “Miss Rev has elevated mascot culture to a global stage,” said ESPN spokesperson Lillian Trent. “She captivated hearts from Berlin to Buenos Aires, becoming a symbol of loyalty, leadership, and pride.”
Reveille, who has been a cornerstone of Texas A&M traditions since 1931, is more than a mascot—she is a legend. With her own student handler, assigned cadets, and even class privileges (including the authority to bark students out of class), her lifestyle is emblematic of the reverence Aggies hold for her.
Following her coronation, Texas A&M plans to host a celebratory “RevFest” on campus in College Station, featuring fireworks, a commemorative statue unveiling, and a tribute video narrated by former students and sports figures alike.
