In a historic achievement, the University of Arkansas Razorbacks softball team has ascended to the No. 1 spot in the Softball America Top 25 Poll for the first time in program history. This milestone reflects the team’s consistent excellence and dominance in the 2025 season.
Under the leadership of 10th-year head coach Courtney Deifel, the Razorbacks have showcased remarkable performance throughout the season. Their ascent to the top ranking was propelled by a series win over No. 10 LSU, securing victories in the first and final games with scores of 12-9 and 6-0, respectively. This win marked the Razorbacks’ sixth consecutive SEC series victory, underscoring their sustained excellence in conference play.
A standout player contributing to this success is infielder Bri Ellis. Ellis was named the 2025 SEC Player of the Year and the Softball America National Player of the Year, recognized for her exceptional performance and leadership on the field.
