Particularly notable is Auburn’s placement behind a Tennessee team still navigating quarterback uncertainty of its own and a Missouri team that lost key players to the NFL Draft.
Still, the rankings are not set in stone. The Tigers have time to find answers before fall camp begins. Freeze’s track record in recruiting and offensive innovation keeps a flicker of optimism alive. With Jordan-Hare Stadium providing one of the SEC’s most electric atmospheres, a strong start could quickly shift the narrative.
