In a significant development for Nebraska football, the University of Nebraska has appointed former Cornhuskers quarterback and College Football Hall of Famer Tommie Frazier as the new Assistant General Manager. This move underscores the program’s commitment to blending rich tradition with modern football operations.
Frazier, who led Nebraska to consecutive national championships in 1994 and 1995, is celebrated for his exceptional leadership on the field. His 33–3 record as a starter, combined with over 5,400 yards of total offense and 79 touchdowns, solidified his status as one of college football’s all-time greats. He was honored with the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and was a consensus All-American in 1995. His jersey number 15 was retired by the university in 1996, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
In his new role, Frazier will work closely with General Manager Pat Stewart and Head Coach Matt Rhule to enhance the football program’s operations.
