COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State basketball team is gearing up for a massive Year 2 under head coach Jake Diebler, and things are looking brighter than ever with some explosive returnees! After securing commitments from Bruce Thornton and John Mobley, the Buckeyes just got even stronger—Devin Royal, the former Mr. Ohio Basketball, is coming back for his third season and ready to make waves.
Royal took impressive individual strides last season, even though the team didn’t fully reach its potential. The Pickerington native averaged 13.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and shot a blazing 52.2% from the field. He’s a force to be reckoned with, and his return means OSU will have three of its top four scorers back in action. With only San Diego State transfer Micah Parrish graduating, the Buckeyes are primed for a breakout season.
With these talented players returning, Ohio State has all the tools to take their game to the next level. Get ready—this season is going to be ! #OhioStateBasketball #DevinRoyal #BuckeyesOnTheRise #HoopsHeat #BigTenDominance #NextLevelBuckeyes
