The race is on! Clemson is battling Alabama and Georgia for one of the most coveted edge rushers in the 2026 class—North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.) four-star Khamari Brooks. At 6’4″ and 230 pounds, this powerhouse is ranked as the No. 11 edge defender and No. 154 overall prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Brooks, who received an offer from Clemson in October, recently made a memorable visit to Tiger Town during the epic rivalry clash against South Carolina. But he’s not just looking at Clemson—he holds offers from football heavyweights like Tennessee, Florida State, Penn State, and Michigan.
As the recruitment heats up, Brooks is set to make visits to all three of his finalists. He’ll be at Clemson’s Elite Retreat on March 8, followed by trips to Georgia on January 18 and Alabama on February
On the field, Brooks is a juggernaut. His junior season in 2024 was nothing short of spectacular, posting 131 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and an eye-popping two defensive touchdowns. As a dual-threat, he also hauled in 31 receptions for 569 yards and nine touchdowns. With all this talent and a massive recruitment ahead, the future is looking bright for this rising star!
