“Why would I be tired of being coached by him? He wants the best for me, with the highest expectations anyone could have. It’s not like he gets on my nerves,” Shedeur said, adding that the pressure of living up to his father’s expectations actually feels easier than people think. “The new coach? The expectations won’t be higher than what Dad’s is. If anything, it’ll be a little easier.”
Shedeur explained that playing for Deion means carrying the weight of a legacy—Deion’s incredible success in both football and baseball, his two Super Bowl rings, and his place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “You’re playing for the family name, for everything,” Shedeur said. “That adds pressure, but it’s a purpose-driven pressure that someone else can’t relate to.”
