The Los Angeles Rams have already secured their spot in the NFL Playoffs, but they’re not slowing down. With a crucial game against the Seattle Seahawks on the horizon, the Rams are eyeing the No. 3 seed and need either a win or a Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss to lock it up.
In preparation for the season finale, Los Angeles made some roster adjustments, including activating former Florida State standout Keir Thomas to the 53-man roster. After spending the season on the practice squad, Thomas is now ready for action as the Rams look to bolster their defensive lineup.
Thomas could see significant playing time against the Seahawks, especially if the team opts to rest Jared Verse or Byron Young. Both are former Seminoles having standout seasons, with Verse recently named to the Pro Bowl, and Braden Fiske also shining.
The Rams quickly scooped up Thomas after he went undrafted in 2022, and he’s had a steady journey between the active roster and the practice squad. Over 16 appearances, Thomas has made 10 tackles and two tackles for loss, contributing to the Rams’ defensive depth.
Before joining the NFL, Thomas was a force at Florida State, where he transferred after starting his college career at South Carolina. In his standout 2021 season, Thomas racked up 42 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and 15 quarterback hurries, earning third-team All-ACC honors. Now, with his eyes on a postseason run, Thomas is poised to make an impact for the Rams when it matters most.
