After a disappointing 2024 season, Florida State is determined to turn things around and ignite their offense in 2025. With a dismal 2-10 record, it was clear the Seminoles’ offensive plan, under the leadership of head coach Mike Norvell, fell short. Despite the hype surrounding DJ Uiagalelei, the quarterback transfer from Clemson and Oregon State, the offensive line crumbled, and the receivers struggled to get open.
But Florida State isn’t dwelling on the past. They’ve made bold moves this offseason to rewrite their offensive story. The acquisition of dual-threat quarterback Thomas Castellanos from Boston College adds the versatility offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn craves. Plus, USC’s dynamic sophomore wide receiver Duce Robinson brings a new dimension with his big-play ability.
Now, the Seminoles are eyeing another major addition in the form of Kaedin Robinson, a senior wide receiver from Appalachian State. The explosive playmaker had a monster 2023 season, with 67 catches for 905 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he followed it up with 53 receptions for 840 yards in 2024. What’s more, Robinson has a connection to Malzahn—he signed with UCF in 2021, making this a reunion worth watching.
With a fast-approaching deadline for the start of classes on January 6th, Florida State isn’t wasting any time. Expect them to move swiftly to secure Robinson’s commitment as they continue to build a high-octane offense for 2025. The Seminoles are making waves, and they’re not done yet!
