The Auburn women’s basketball team is set for their first SEC road test, heading to Baton Rouge this Sunday to take on the undefeated No. 6 LSU Tigers. After falling to No. 25 Ole Miss in their SEC opener, Auburn (9-5, 0-1 SEC) will look to bounce back with a statement win over LSU (16-0, 1-0 SEC), who secured a strong win against Arkansas in their league debut.

Gaston, Auburn’s offensive powerhouse, leads the team with 23.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She has been a scoring machine, hitting career highs and earning SEC Player of the Week honors twice this season. In addition, sophomore Taliah Scott, who has been out recently due to injury, could return to help boost Auburn’s offensive attack. The Tigers are looking for a bounce-back performance after a tough loss to Ole Miss and will need strong contributions from players like graduate student Taylen Collins, point guard Mar’Shaun Bostic, and freshman duo Jordan Hunter and Syriah Daniels.
