The Miami Hurricanes are on the hunt to transform their wide receiver group, and they’re aiming high! With most of their key players declaring for the NFL Draft, Miami is now hosting top transfer portal targets—Zachariah Branch and his brother Zion—two of the most sought-after athletes in the portal.
After entering the transfer portal on December 17, the Branch brothers are expected to team up at the same school. Zachariah, a five-star recruit from the 2023 class, was initially brought in by USC head coach Lincoln Riley. Over two seasons, he accumulated 823 yards, 3 touchdowns, and established himself as a dynamic returner, earning first-team All-American honors in 2023.
Ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 3 player overall in the On3 Industry Rankings, Zachariah is now searching for a fresh start with a new quarterback. The Branch brothers have already visited powerhouse programs like Georgia, Arizona State, Tennessee, and Texas, with many predicting they’ll head to Athens to join the Georgia Bulldogs, thanks to strong family ties with the coaching staff.
But don’t count Miami out just yet. Head coach Mario Cristobal is known for making bold moves to improve his roster, and the Hurricanes are sure to go all-in to bring these explosive players to Coral Gables.
Stay tuned – the Branch brothers could be about to make a major impact wherever they land!
