Kenny Dillingham, the brilliant offensive mastermind and former Florida State coach, has just inked a jaw-dropping five-year contract extension with Arizona State, securing his place among the top-tier Big 12 coaches, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. But this deal isn’t just about big numbers — it comes with a performance-driven pathway that could see his contract stretch to a decade!
In only his second season with the Sun Devils, Dillingham has already made history. He’s led the team to its first-ever College Football Playoff (CFP) appearance and clinched the program’s first conference title in 17 years — a thrilling Big 12 championship since Arizona State joined the conference in August.
But that’s not all! Dillingham now has a shot at glory with a potential national championship run. Arizona State, boasting an impressive 11-2 record, secured a coveted first-round CFP bye and will face Texas in the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day. A win could catapult them into the CFP semifinals, where they’ll take on either Ohio State or Oregon.
On top of that, Dillingham earned the 2024 Chuck Neinas Big 12 Coach of the Year award for his outstanding achievements this season.
