A former Florida State coach is making waves in the world of football, and it’s not in Tallahassee. Brandon Harris, a former defensive analyst for the Seminoles, has landed a major on-field role at UCF as their new defensive backs coach. This move comes after a season of big changes for FSU, which is working hard to rebound from a disappointing 2-10 record following a stellar 13-1 campaign in 2023.
Harris, a Florida native and former standout at Miami, has been rising fast in the coaching world. He recently served as co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach at FAU, but now he’s taking his talents to UCF, where he’s set to make an immediate impact. Known for his strong defensive background, Harris was a key player in both the NFL and CFL, drafted No. 60 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, before transitioning into coaching.
