The Oklahoma Sooners have reached an impressive 13-0 record for the first time since the 1987-88 season, dominating Prairie View A&M 89-67. The Panthers briefly held a 5-2 lead early on, but it was short-lived as the Sooners took control and never looked back, securing a commanding 22-point victory.
Though Prairie View A&M stayed within 10 points for much of the first half, Oklahoma ended the half strong with a 9-2 run, heading into the break with an 11-point lead. In the second half, the Sooners never let the Panthers close the gap to less than nine points. With under seven minutes remaining, Oklahoma ignited a late surge, outscoring Prairie View A&M 19-7 in the final 6:54 to clinch the blowout win.
The offensive firepower from Jalon Moore, Jeremiah Fears, and Duke Miles was undeniable. Moore led the way with 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting, Fears added 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, and Miles contributed 17 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Miles was the only Sooner to hit multiple three-pointers, as Oklahoma struggled from deep, shooting just 29.4% (5-of-17) from beyond the arc. However, the team shot a sizzling 60.5% from the field overall.
Oklahoma’s bench played a key role, contributing 20 points, with Brycen Goodine and Glen Taylor Jr. both scoring nine points apiece in the victory. With the nonconference slate now behind them and a perfect record intact—including two top-25 wins—the Sooners are poised for their first SEC road test next Saturday against No. 5 Alabama.
