After a standout sophomore season in 2024, Parker’s decision to return comes as a game-changer for Clemson’s defense. The Alabama native was the team’s most dominant defensive force, racking up 64 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and an eye-popping 11.0 sacks. He also set a program record with six forced fumbles. His tackle and sack totals were the highest at Clemson since Clelin Ferrell’s dominant 2018 season, proving just how vital Parker was to the Tigers’ defense.
As a freshman in 2023, Parker already proved he was one of the nation’s top young defenders, with 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks. His breakout performance validated his status as a four-star recruit and the No. 6 defensive lineman in the 2023 class. His presence was a major factor in Clemson ranking 26th nationally in sacks per game in 2024, with Parker contributing a staggering 31.4% of the Tigers’ 35 sacks that season.
