Big moves are happening for the Auburn Tigers as former defensive lineman Darron Reed finds a new home with Mississippi State, and the possibility of Izavion “Too Tall” Miller returning for another season has Auburn fans buzzing.
Reed, a 4-star recruit from Columbus, Georgia, struggled to crack Auburn’s starting lineup after two seasons. Despite limited game time, the talented defensive lineman will now head to Mississippi State, where he has three years of eligibility left to make an impact in the SEC.
On the other hand, Auburn’s offensive line could get a major boost if Miller decides to return. Thanks to a recent NCAA waiver, JUCO transfers like Miller are granted an extra year of eligibility. After spending two seasons at Southwest Mississippi Community College, Miller transferred to Auburn in 2023 and quickly became a key starter at right tackle. Offensive line coach Jake Thornton is confident Miller’s best is yet to come, especially after struggling with injuries in recent seasons. With Auburn bringing in two new offensive line transfers, Miller’s return would be a massive asset as the Tigers aim to solidify their line in 2025.
